The Junior Footballers played Patrickswell at the weekend

On Saturday evening our junior footballers travelled to Patrickswell for the second round of the all-county football league. The home side were first to settle and raced into an early lead. Milford played some great football at times and some well worked points kept us in the game at half time. The second half saw a very different attitude from Milford and we gradually got on top of our opponents. Some wonderful scores from Joseph Redington and Liam O’Keeffe and a Luke McGinty penalty saw us take the lead before a very late free from the home team tied the game.

Junior football training Tuesday at 7 o’clock sharp. All players should be in attendance. City football league round 1 away to Mungret on Thursday at 7 o’clock.

Best of luck to the Limerick footballers and our own Ger Collins who play Waterford in the division four national football league final in Croke park on Saturday evening.

Once again our club website continues to be one of the leading GAA websites in Ireland. The website now includes detailed maps of every GAA pitch in the country as well as Limerick’s most comprehensive list of club fixtures and results. 2010 fixtures are currently being uploaded so keep watching the site for the latest results and fixtures:
