A couple of challenge matches provided a useful workout for our Junior Footballers

Our junior footballers travelled to Pallaskenry on Thursday for a challenge match against a local selection. The home side started well with a well taken goal. Milford battled back and as the game progressed began to dominate scoring some fine points from play. In the end the home side won by a narrow margin but this was a very useful work out for our lads.

A challenge was also played in Kilteely on Saturay where the locals made the most of the chances they created.

All quiet on the fixtures front this week. Junior football training on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30 in Roselawn. All players are requested to be in attendance.

Once again our club website continues to be one of the leading GAA websites in Ireland. The website now includes detailed maps of every GAA pitch in the country as well as Limerick’s most comprehensive list of club fixtures and results. 2010 fixtures are currently being uploaded so keep watching the site for the latest results and fixtures:

We would also like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support during the year especially:

Sean Murphy of the Day Break Castletroy supermarket;

Barnalick House B&B and self catering accommodation; and

the Groody Bar, Castletroy.
