Footballer bow out and County 1/4 stage
Despite a very brave effort on Saturday, our junior footballers bowed out of the county football championship at the quarter final stages. In a match played in atrocious weather conditions, the Milford lads fought for every ball and never gave up but in the end were defeated by an excellent Kilteely-Dromkeen team. Milford lined out as follows: Kevin Keenan, Colm Cuneen, Alan Hayes, (captain), Paul Dillon, Eamonn Hawe, John Cullinan, Mark Conway, Albert O’Sullivan-Green, Stephen Melbourne, Ger Collins, Cathal Geraty. Luke McGinty, Ray Moloney, Jack O’Sullivan, Nathan McGinty, Cian Coffey, David Hawe and Joseph Redington. Milford wishes Kilteely-Dromkeen the very best of luck in their county semi-final.
It’s been a good year for the club, which has seen much improved results both on and off the field. The club would like to thank the junior football management panel of Joe and John Redington, Kevin Keenan and Cathal Geraty.
Milford GAA would like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support during the year especially:
Barnalick House B&B and self catering accommodation; and
the Groody Bar, Castletroy.
