Milford and Crecora draw in the City JBHC
On Sunday morning our junior hurlers entertained Crecora in the City Junior B hurling championship. Milford made an excellent start and their endeavours were rewarded with two Ger Collins points in the opening five minutes. Some great defending by the home side kept the Milford lead in tact before a well worked goal gave Milford a 1-2 to 0-0 lead. As the half continued Crecora came more into the game and some very well taken points narrowed the home team’s advantage. A Nathan McGinty point and a Ger Collins free gave Milford a 1-6 to 0-4 lead at the break. Crecora started the second half well and their early pressure was rewarded with two fine points. Milford rallied and regained their five point advantage before Crecora snatched a fortunate goal. Both sides exchanged a number of points before a second Crecora goal and two points gave saw them take the lead for the first time. However the home side rallied strongly and fought back to earn a very well deserved draw. Milford 1-13 Crecora 2-10.
