All focus turns to Kilarney

All roads lead to Killarney this Sunday as the Limerick footballers attempt to win their first Munster senior football title since 1896. Milford wishes all the Limerick players and officials the best of luck and special best wishes to our own Ger Collins. All club members who wish to purchase tickets for the Munster football final should contact the club secretary as soon as possible.

On Saturday evening our junior footballers travelled to Athlacca to meet Banogue in the fourth round of the all-county league. Milford were slow to settle and the home side quickly got in top and some well taken goals saw them lead at half time. Milford were a very different team in the second half and quickly got on top with Dominic Joyce, Alan Hayes and Michael Hayes dominant around the middle. Our pressure paid off with three well taken goals from Mark O’Keeffe and Eanna Kennedy. However, it was not to be our day as Banogue scored two late goals to snatch victory.

Once again our club website continues to be one of the leading GAA websites in Ireland. The website now includes detailed maps of every GAA pitch in the country as well as Limerick’s most comprehensive list of club fixtures and results. 2010 fixtures are currently being uploaded so keep watching the site for the latest results and fixtures: www.milford.limerick.gaa.ie.

We would also like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support during the year especially:

Sean Murphy of the Day Break Castletroy supermarket;

Barnalick House B&B and self catering accommodation; and

the Groody Bar, Castletroy.
