Disappointment for both JA and JB Footballers

This was a disappointing week for our junior a footballers who were beaten in the replay of the city junior a football final. The lads settled well and took an early two point lead but our opponents edged ahead with two goals. Our lads tried hard in the second half but playing against the wind, we were always up against it and in the end we finished up on the wrong side of a 2-9 to 0-8 scoreline.

On Sunday our junior b footballers travelled to play St Pats in a must win championship match. A promising first half display saw us level at half time thanks to a Liam O’Meara free. The home side up their game in the second half and went ahead before some fine Milford scores including a great Mark Conway point brought us back into contention. But in the end St Pats edged out the victors on an eight points to three scoreline.

Football training Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30 in Roselawn.
