Junior Footballers lose out tho Monaleen in the City Final

Last Saturday our junior footballers played the final of the Limerick city junior a football championship against our neighbours Monaleen. Milford were slow to settle and fell behind to a very early goal. However the Milford boys dug deep and a Luke McGinty point settled us down before an excellently work attack resulted in a well taken goal from Niall Enright. At half time Milford were one point behind but conceded two points early in the second half. A fine point from Albert O’Sullivan narrowed the margin before Cathal Geraty scored a fantastic goal to put Milford one point ahead. However, it was not to be for a very game Milford team who conceded some late points which saw Monaleen run out 1-11 to 2-4 winners. Despite this result, Milford’s season will continue for a few more weeks as the lads will contest the county quarter final against Kilteely-Dromkeen.

Thank you to all those people who very generously supported our annual church gate collection last weekend.

Junior football training on Tuesday and Thursday night at 6:30 in Roselawn.
